After you propose
Fixed-price milestones are paid into escrow when the contract opens. You deliver, the client approves, the milestone releases. Hourly work is logged against a weekly cap and invoiced from those logs.
The fee rate is recorded on the contract when it is signed, so a later change to Hireek's pricing cannot move money you have already agreed. Nothing is deducted from an application, an interview, or a salary.
A proposal costs credits so that a hundred copy-pasted pitches are expensive and a considered one is cheap. Bigger briefs cost more to bid on.
