The short version: post work that exists, describe yourself truthfully, fund what you commissioned, and deliver what you agreed. Hireek runs the pipeline, holds the escrow and takes 10% of freelance money when a milestone is released. Everything below is the long version of those four sentences.
In effect since January 12, 2026
01
These terms cover everyone who uses Hireek: people who keep a profile and look for work, organizations that post jobs and projects, and the members those organizations add to a workspace. Using any part of the product means accepting them.
An organization accepts on behalf of everyone it invites. The person who creates a workspace warrants that they are allowed to bind it, and anyone with the Owner or Admin role can act for it afterwards.
Hireek is a demonstration product built to show a complete two-sided hiring marketplace end to end. It is not a live commercial service, no real money moves through it, and nothing here creates an employment relationship between you and us.
02
One person keeps one account. That account can hold a talent profile, membership of any number of organizations, or both at once — there is no separate employer login and no separate freelancer login.
03
A job or a project must be work that genuinely exists and that the posting organization intends to fill or commission. Listings written to harvest CVs, to advertise a course, to recruit for a pyramid scheme or to test the market with no budget are removed without a refund.
04
Applying to a job is free and unlimited. Sending a proposal on a freelance project costs credits, scaled by the size of the project, so that a proposal is worth reading. Every profile receives 10 credits a month at no charge; Talent Pro adds 80 a month for $12.
Credits are a spending limit, not currency. They have no cash value, they cannot be transferred between accounts, and they are not refunded when a proposal is declined — the decline is the outcome you paid to get. They are refunded when a project is withdrawn before anyone read the proposals.
What you submit — a cover letter, an answer to a screening question, a portfolio link, an attached CV — is shared with the organization that posted the listing and with the members it has given access to. It is not shared with any other organization.
05
Hireek supplies the pipeline, the messaging and the record-keeping. It does not employ anyone, does not vet candidates on an organization's behalf, and takes no position on who should be hired. An offer, a contract and every term inside them are between the two parties.
Classifying a person as an employee or as an independent contractor is the hiring organization's responsibility, as are the tax, immigration and employment obligations that follow from it. Posting a role as a project rather than a job does not change what the law says the arrangement is.
Scorecards, ratings and notes recorded in a pipeline are the organization's own assessment. We store them and show them to that organization; we do not audit them and we do not publish them to the candidate.
06
Accepting a proposal creates a contract with milestones. A fixed-price milestone must be funded before work on it begins: the client's payment is held and released to the freelancer when the client approves the delivery. An hourly contract bills from submitted time logs on the same approval step.
07
There are five charges and no others. Organization subscriptions and pay-as-you-go listings are charged to the organization. Featured placement is optional and one-off. Talent Pro and credit packs are charged to a person. And Hireek retains 10% of every freelance milestone at the moment it is released — after the work has been approved, never before.
Nothing is deducted from a salary. Applying, interviewing, receiving an offer and accepting it are free on both sides beyond the listing or subscription that carried the job.
Subscriptions renew until cancelled and cancel at the end of the period already paid for; we do not pro-rate a partial month. One-off charges — listings, featured placement, credit packs — are final once the listing is live or the credits are in the wallet. Every price is written out on the pricing page.
08
You keep ownership of everything you upload — a portfolio, a CV, a brief, a deliverable. You grant Hireek only the licence needed to store it, show it to the people you directed it at, and display public parts of a public profile in search results.
09
You can close your account at any time from settings. Closing it hides your profile from search, withdraws your open applications and proposals, and stops any subscription at the end of the period already paid for.
What survives closure is what other people also hold: a contract you are party to, the milestones already released against it, the invoices issued, the reviews written about work that happened, and the audit record of money moving. Deleting your side of those would rewrite someone else's record.
We may suspend an account immediately where money, safety or a credible legal claim is involved, and will say so in writing.
10
Hireek is provided as it is. We do not warrant that a listing is genuine, that a freelancer will deliver, that a client will approve, or that the marketplace will be available without interruption. What we do warrant is that escrowed funds are held as described and released only as described.
Our liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid Hireek in the three months before it arose. We are not liable for lost profit, lost opportunity or the conduct of anyone you met here.
If these terms change in a way that affects your rights, we will say so on this page and give notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use Hireek after that date accepts the change.
